STUDIO KONZERT is the audiophile Direct-To-2-Track fully analogue recorded concert series, produced by the Bauer Studios since early 2013 and available in shops as numbered and limited 180g vinyl records with a premium-quality packaging.

The Tobias Becker Bigband unites some of the best young jazz musicians from all over Germany, Switzerland and Austria to present "Bigband Jazz in Perfektion" (BelgischerRundfunk – BRF [“Big Band Jazz in Perfection” - Belgian Broadcasting]). Tobias Becker has put together a well-rehearsed jazz orchestra with accomplished musicians who came to everyone’s attention through their own projects, big band radio broadcasts, or musical productions. CriticalJazz describes how: "(...) his big band is one of the two finest large ensembles to come out of Eastern Europe.”

After one of the most successful albums from the legendary STUDIO KONZERT series recorded in 2014, the Tobias Becker Bigband introduces an innovative program with this new live recording. The motto of the evening: GROOVE.

This time, Cherry Gehring from Ludwigsburg stands alongside the experienced singer, Verena Nübel, on stage as a guest singer with the big band. Groove runs through Cherry Gehring’s veins while her voice exudes soul. Becoming famous as the keyboard player and singer of the cult band, PUR, a comedy talent and the sideman of countless top acts, Cherry Gehring delivers both sophisticated entertainment and musical conviction.

Big band-jazz enthusiasts will enjoy this just as much as fans of Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power or Chaka Kahn. Tobias Becker has reworked many of their best-known hits for the evening and adapted them especially to the protagonists.
