STUDIO KONZERT is the audiophile Direct-To-2-Track fully analogue recorded concert series, produced by the Bauer Studios since early 2013 and available in shops as numbered and limited 180g vinyl records with a premium-quality packaging.

Putting the music of Maria Joao in a category is not easy. She takes a bit from different kinds of musical directions including avant-garde music, modern jazz, Latin American music and Portuguese folklore. In 1991, she recorded her album SOL in the Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg with Grupo Cal Viva. 25 years later, in April 2016, she came back to Ludwigsburg to record her new project Ogre.

With Joao Farinha on the Fender Rhodes, piano and synthesizer, and André Nascimento on the laptop and sequencers, Maria Joao impresses with her vocal wide range.

Besides songs from her new album Plastic, Maria performs masterfully pieces by William Shakespeare. The result: An exceptional vinyl on which Maria Joao presents an impressive merging of contemporary music and classical literature.
