Pianist John Ogdon and the Philharmonia Orchestra lead by Sir John Barbirolli perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 alongside Symphonic Variations by Cesar Franck.
On December 17 and 18, 1962, Victor Olof and Ronald Kinloch Anderson, together with sound engineer Robert Gooch, produced this excellent recording at Studio No.1 in London's Abbey Road. The British pianist John Ogdon plays the 1st Piano Concerto op.23 in B flat minor by Tchaikovsky. Ogdon, as always, proves his phenomenal technique and deep musical understanding.
