Gustav Leonhardt performs Bach's Goldberg Variations on harpsichord. This album was recorded in April 1965.
The finest harpsichord playing can be heard here by the Dutch harpsichordist, organist and conductor Gustav Leonhardt. The interpretation of Bach's Goldberg Variations - Aria with 30 Changes (Piano Exercise Part IV), BWV 988, was recorded in 1965 in the Hervormde Church in Bennebroek, Holland. The recording took place on a keel grand piano by Martin Skowroneck, after J. D. Dulcken.
