Conductor Daniel Barenboim led the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 2006. Among other things, he is associated with Richard Wagner's work by his time as conductor of the Bayreuth Festival, where he conducted Tristan und Isolde, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Parsifal and the Ring des Nibelungen from 1981 to 1999. These recordings were made between 1992 and 1994 at the Orchestral Hall, Chicago.
