Manfred Jaspers After All the Years CD

In the 70s of the last century, Manfred Jaspers began to rediscover German folk songs. There was a folk music revival all over Europe during these years. To distinguish it from "folk music", which had become unsingable due to some misuse, young people like Manfred all over Europe called the newly discovered and reworked music "folk".
Manfred is thus a "co-founder" of the German folk music scene. He sang and played Irish and Scottish folk in the German formation "Beda Folk", then in the group "Moin" Low and High German folk music, preferably "songs of democratic character". Together with the group "Averliekers" he created a "North German" program. He is active as a singer-songwriter and composer and also performs as a solo artist.
