Mitsuko Uchida began her career at the Vienna University of Music and took lessons from Wilhelm Kempff, Stefan Askenase and Nikita Magaloff. After moving to London, she made her international breakthrough. In 1982 she played Mozart's piano sonatas at London's Wigmore Hall, and later became one of the leading interpreters of his piano sonatas and piano concertos. This release features the Piano Concertos No. 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27 and the Concert Rondo in D major, recorded in London between 1985 and 1990.
