Slade is a British rock band, one of the leaders of glam rock in the early 1970s. Slade was formed in 1966 by former members of The Vendors and Steve Brett bands. & The Mavericks by Noddy Holder (vocals, rhythm guitar), Jim Lee (bass guitar, keyboards, violin), Dave Hill (guitar) and Don Powell (drums).
