The artist Anne Bisson, who comes from the province of Quebec, has now built up a loyal fan base in Europe and has won numerous awards – and rightly so: The fascinating jazz chanteuse, who has had a rigorous training in the areas of classical piano and singing, made a name for herself with the audience and in the music media, especially with the commercially quite successful album "Blue Mind". Audiophile listeners also appreciate the exquisite sound quality of their releases. So it should come as no surprise that 12 of the best songs Anne Bisson has recorded in the last 15 years are now combined into one album for the first time: "The Essentials" contains a carefully selected track list with Bisson hits such as "September In Montreal", "Killing Me Softly" and the bonus track "Les Moulins De Mon Coeur" - a French version of Michel Legrand's classic "The Windmills Of Your Mind".
This exclusive one-step pressing comes hand-numbered and in a limited edition of 3,000 pieces. Bernie Grundman is responsible for the sonically impressive remastering. The 180-gram vinyl was cut at 33 rpm and manufactured at RTI's famous pressing plant in Camarillo, USA. This one-step pressing is complemented by an elaborately designed gatefold cover, which contains a 20-page booklet with Bisson's life story as well as exclusive color photos and anecdotes.
The Essentials features 12 of Anne Bisson's very best songs recorded over the past 15 years. Carefully selected, the tracklist includes "September in Montreal" and "Killing Me Softly," plus bonus track "Les Moulins de Mon Coeur," a French version of Michel Legrand's hit song "The Windmills of Your Mind."
