Venus Masterpiece Collection Limited Edition 180g Vinyl Double LP!
The album "Sakura Sakura" by jazz bassist and singer Nicki Parrott is dedicated to spring, a season full of hope and the celebration of new life. She sings standards such as "April in Paris", "April Showers", "I Love Paris" as well as "Sakura Sakura", a traditional Japanese song about the cherry blossom, with the original lyrics in Japanese.
The singer is supported by an excellent team of New York musicians. Nicki's sister Lisa Parrott can be heard on soprano and baritone saxophone, and the participation of the great young trumpeter Dominick Farinacci is a welcome surprise. Another change is the bassist Martin Wind, who does not play his usual instrument, but a cello.
Venus LPs are pressed only once. After the first edition has been sold, the titles will be removed from the catalogue. Collectors should therefore consider buying in good time.
