Pianist Vladimir Shafranov brings a smile to the viewer's face with his artfully illustrated dog covers in the Venus Records program; but the fact that the title "Blues For Percy" is dedicated to his beloved dog gives the illustration as well as the song a deeper level. In addition to this original composition, great standards such as the lively "Groovy Samba" by Sergio Mendes and the poetic "Scandia Skies" by Kenny Dorham are played.
Venus LPs are pressed only once. After the first edition has been sold, the titles will be removed from the catalogue. Collectors should therefore consider buying in good time.
