180g 45rpm Double LP!
Mastered by George Marino at Sterling Sound!
Pressed at Quality Record Pressings!
In 1963, Miles Davis was in a transitional period of his career, without a permanent band, and he wondered what his future musical direction might be. At that time, he recorded the music that can be heard on this record. He was in the process of forming a new band, as you can see from the line-up: George Coleman, tenor saxophone; Victor Feldman (who turned down the job) and Herbie Hancock on piano; Ron Carter, Bassist; Frank Butler and Tony Williams on drums.
The recording took place in two sessions, with highlights such as the classic "Seven Steps To Heaven", "Joshua" and slow, passionate versions of "Basin Street Blues" and "Baby Won't You Please Come Home".
