Jazz pianist Eddie Higgins is back for another go-round with Venus, this time on a two-volume set that includes Jay Leonhart on bass and Joe Ascione on drums. Volume 2 features eight songs, including ones by W.C. Handy, Duke Ellington and Higgins himself.
Eddie Higgins played with many greats of jazz, such as Oscar Peterson, Dizzy Gillespie, Cannonball Adderley or Bill Evans and has established his name as a brilliant jazz pianist in the scene. In the second edition of the track "If Dreams Come True" he inspires in a trio with Jay Leonhart on bass and Joe Ascione on drums.
Venus LPs are pressed only once. After the first edition has been sold, the titles will be deleted from the catalogue. Collectors should therefore consider a purchase in good time.
