"Handscapes" was a novel format at the time of its recording in 1972. The seven pianists Ron Burton, Stanley Cowell, Nat Jones, Hugh Lawson, Webster Lewis, Harold Mabern and Sonelius Smith formed the Piano Choir and offered powerful sound power on piano, electric piano and synthesizer.
This follow-up album was recorded in August and December 1974 at Minot Sound's studios for Strata-East.
