  • Описание

It is 9 p.m. on February 10, 1961, when Norman Granz takes the stage of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw to announce one of the Oscar Peterson Trio's most sensational concerts. Norman Granz is the greatest impesario and producer in the history of jazz. Behind the scenes is his protégé, whom he happened to hear on the radio of a taxi in Montreal one evening in 1949 and whom he would later lead to the top of the jazz pianists. On this evening he introduces him as "the indescribable".
It can be said that Peterson plays 100 notes when others play 10, but his virtuosity was perfectly at the service of the music. The flowing first notes of the introduction set the tone for an extraordinary concert... This is the first release of this recording.
