Eiji Oue & Minnesota Orchestra: Exotic Dances From The Opera

One of the most popular reference recordings is now finally available on vinyl. However, unlike the previous releases on vinyl, it is an analog master tape. This results in interesting comparison options with the variants as CD, hybrid SACD or HRx master file. Musically, this was one of Eiji Oue's first recordings with the Minnesota Orchestra and it was decided to mix popular dances from the opera.

The LP appears in a gatefold cover with a commentary on the individual pieces and information about the orchestra and conductor.

180-gram or 200-gram pressing - a question that is not that easy.

For identical titles from Reference Recordings, there are covers labeled 180 g containing LPs that weigh around 200 g, and vice versa. This is due to the fact that the commissioned pressing plants QRT and RTI in the USA specify a 10 percent tolerance for weight on the one hand and then occasionally simply get the orders mixed up. In terms of sound, the pressings do not differ.
