Janos Starker & Gyorgy Sebok Bartok/Mendelssohn/Martinu/Debussy/Chopin/Weiner

Some of the works on this release were recorded by Janos Starker in the younger years of his career, but the difference in quality in this recording has increased enormously, as the "echo chamber" recording method known to the cellist has been dispensed with. Starker recorded the first four tracks at Watford Town Hall near London, tracks 5 to 12 at Ballroom Studio A at Fine Recording Studios in New York City. The cello legend is accompanied by a strong partner on the piano: György Sebok. The remastering for the re-release by Analogphonic was done by Rainer Maillard at the "Emil Berliner Studios".
