In celebration of Martha Argerich's 80th birthday in June, a reissue of her recording of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Charles Dutoit.
On the occasion of her 80th birthday, Deutsche Grammophon is honouring Martha Argerich with a series of re-releases on vinyl. Her interpretations of Tchaikovsky's piano concertos are leg-endary, and the 1970 recording of Concerto No. 1 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under Charles Dutoit is still one of the outstanding interpretations today. Now, for the first time, it is available on vinyl again - mastered from the original sources according to Deutsche Grammophon standards and pressed on 180g vinyl.
