Deeply moving, the Ukrainian pianist Emil Gilels, celebrated for his Beethoven interpretations, played a repertoire of rare complexity at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw on 26 October 1976. In addition to Beethoven, whom he admires, he presents Brahms' "4 Ballades, Op. 10", Schumann's "Arabesque, Op. 18", Prokofiev's "Prelude, Op. 12, No. 7" and "Prelude in B Minor, BWV 855A" by Bach/Siloti.
Due to this release in the "Lost Recordings" series as a 180-gram double LP, this special concert can now be enjoyed in excellent quality at home.
