This recording was made in 2004 at the Bibiena Theatre in Mantua, known for its exceptional acoustics. Captivating and full of spontaneity, Aco Bocina, known as the world's best mandolin player, inspires the audience with Mediterranean sounds and - based on Mozart's concert for the inauguration of this theatre in the 18th century - even with his famous "Little Night Music".
Already at the age of 9 Aco Bocina began to play guitar. His passion for the mandolin led him to write and play music, so that he travelled Europe at a young age both as a soloist and as the first mandolin player of a large orchestra. Bocina, who owns various rare mandolins and guitars, has released several albums over the years, worked on soundtracks for the documentary "Paralelo 24" and the film "El Soñador" in 2003 and 2004, and was awarded the "Libero Bovio" prize in 2016.
For the realization of the audiophile version of the concert, which has not yet been released on vinyl, the full support of the artist could be won in addition to the original master recordings. Miles Showell's mastering at Abbey Road Studios perfectly conveys the magic and energy of the original recording.
